Text Search

Enter text in the Text Search text box. The filter will look for cards with those words. The text can be searched for in the card's name, rule text, type or any combination. Cards can either be matched if they contain any of the search words or only if they contain all search words. The text search words can either be matched ignoring case or matching case.

In the following example the filter will retrieve all cards that can cause a target player to discard cards that do not require an additional sacrifice.

Removing cards from a search

When a word is preceded with a dash ('-') cards with that word will not be found. If a search returns more cards then expected, cards can be removed from the search results using words preceded by the negative sign, negative search words. For example when searching for cards that destroy creatures a search for [destroy target creature] will find cards that cannot destroy black creatures. To make sure that the search includes only cards that can destroy black creatures use negative search words: [destroy target creature -nonblack].

Finding exact phrases

When a phrase is surrounded by double quotes ('"') the entire phrase is matched. If a search returns more cards than expected because a search word appears in other parts of the rules text, the search can be restricted to the desired cards by quoting the phrase of interest. For example, when searching for cards to force a player to discard a search for [target player discard] will find cards where discarding is an additional cost. To make sure the effect of the spell is to force a player to discard use the quoted phrase: ["target player discard"].
